A MID-AFTERNOON CALL

Was not expecting a call from the sand in the middle of the afternoon, but when I looked down at my cell phone and saw the "no name" I had a feeling it just might be him. We were able to talk for 38 minutes, and the delay was not bad at all.

I had not seen him online since last night, so I figured that the good ole HAJI INTERNET was down again or that something had happened and they had shut them down. His day off and the HAJI INTERNET is down. What worse luck could he possibly have. Hopefully HAJI will be working on Thursday so the whole family can get to see him on the web cam.

He has done a little shopping online, so the UPS man and the postman beware. Mostly MOTO parts, but he has sent one box from the sand to us.

I received an email this morning from a Soldier's Angel saying that their organization had received an email saying that Michael had been sent home. Kind of scared me at first, and then thought, ok, do they know something that I don't know. I sent a reply back saying I sure wish you were right, but not this time. WISHFUL THINKING ON MY PART...

He will be so glad to get his redeployment date (even though it will change almost daily). Hopefully they will be told soon. At lease we know that we can somewhat start counting the days down. DOUBLE DIGITS. Gosh that sure feels and sounds good to be able to say. So for now we will sit back and wait on that call saying "I'M ON MY WAY".

THANKS FOR CALLING MICHAEL.

STAY SAFE AND SEE YOU SOON.

OMG. I can't imagine the anticipation of waiting for him to come home. Talk about delayed gratification...not much longer!!

the moms that have been through this before say you'll know when he's on his way when the plane LANDS! but won't that be a grand day, stacy?? I am so excited for you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Your suggestion was a good one... we are setting a place at our table for all the soldiers that can not be with us this year...

Good deal Stacy. I know you can't wait for him to get home, and why is it that the Haji Internet is always down on the day off? Its a conspiracy, I tell ya.

It's one of those things...even when they are on their way they still take their sweet time getting here! :) BUT, when they hit US soil, it's a great day...when they climb on that bus, it's a better day and when they step off that bus and into your arms....it's the BEST day EVER!!!!!

My prayers and thanks are with your son and all the folks over there this Thanksgiving.

I know from being on the other end of that countdown how excited everyone is getting.

Have a great holiday!
