January 17, 2005

I was not expecting a call from him at 8:40 p.m. our time, but when I saw another unfamiliar number on my cell, I was so excited. He had gotten up at 4:00 a.m. his time to call us. He had been trying to figure out a good time to call. He only has 20 minutes on the phone.

He received his luggage. His laundry detergent had spilled and had gotten all over his clothes. He said that the people from Iraq wash their clothes for them. It takes three days, but they get them back clean and folded. I am sure that he likes having someone else do his laundry for him.

He said that they had been to the shooting range the day before and saw the wild camels and goats on the range.
