WHAT JOY THEY BRING

One happy dog headed to see someone that he had not seen in over 2 months. He was running around the yard like a crazy dog. He is back on his own turf and loving not being an inside dog anymore.  Gonna miss him...

JUST US...

Well this is one happy dog.  It's just him outside now and he could not be happier. We played ball yesterday afternoon and he could actually walked around with it in his mouth and no one else bothered him. I through the ball until he was too tired to bring it back. The two girls have went to a good home. They will get lots more attention that I could give them right now.   Two less hogs for me to feed too.

WHAT A LIFE

Not much going on here in the good ole South besides working and coming home to this...

The dreadful time will be here before we know it. At least I am not the only one who will be dealing with another deployment. Know just how you are feeling Melinda.

CAT FIGHT

It has been almost a year since Creature has been inside. She quit coming inside because the two inside cats treated her unfair. Well she was cold last night, and wanted in, and after 30 minutes she calmed down and quit fussing at Bull Frog and Binky. Then the fight began as soon as she turned her head. Poor thing was so mad that she ran to the back door fussing to go back out into the cold.  Poor kitty.

Tammi is in for a real treat tonight at my house with all my animals.

P.S.  Sure hope she likes animals...

WINDY AND WE ARE LOVING IT...

The wind is currently blowing at about 25 mph and it is just lovely outside. What a way to spend a lazy Saturday. The dogs and I have walked our 8.5 acres several times now just looking and enjoying the scenery...

51 YEARS AGO TODAY

These two said I DO.  You two have been the most wonderful parents and grandparents.  We love you both very much...

Happy Anniversary Dad and Mom!!!

Other than today being a very important day, it's kind of quiet around here, except for two kitties fighting over one hammock.

And they stay Busy...Busy...Busy...fighting over which one will sleep in the hammock over the heater vent. They are enjoying their early christmas present it seems...

My Christmas shopping is DONE, except for several gift cards and they are all wrapped and under the tree until the kitties find out, and who knows what they will do when they realize there are gifts under the tree.

THIS AND THAT...

Ike has the wind blowing pretty good here this morning.

Aggie, Lizzie and Henry this morning taking it easy.

I bathed the dogs yesterday and then the two girls disappeared, and I found them in the pond playing.

I ended the day yesterday with eating a good home cooked meal at Michael's house.

SUNDAY AT THE VET'S OFFICE

Not how I wanted to spend my Sunday afternoon, but it had to be done. I finally coaxed him into my car and off we went. He could hardly walk. Our Vet was waiting on us when we pulled up and as soon as he saw Henry walk he knew what the problem was. I had thought that he might have had a heat stroke since he was outside yesterday when all of a sudden he could not walk. Hip Dysplasia is very common in German Shepherds and Henry was diagnosed with it at a very early age of just 6 months. Looks like he will have to be on Rimadyl from now on.

I'M GONNA MISS THEM

Their time is almost up with me and I'm gonna miss them when Michael comes back from training to get them...He's in for a big surprise, as they have now grown accustom to sleeping with me and being spoiled.

The new flag flying high for Flag Day...

P.S. Tomatoes and squash are somehow multiplying around my house. Now I just need to find the time to do something with them.

Parades, Puppies and Basketball

The day started out with me leaving the house at 0600 and meeting up with my fellow Patriot Guard Riders so that we could participate in the Dixie National Rodeo Parade. I actually rode on the back of a friend's bike. I'm getting more brave by the day I guess.

This is a whole different story. I had no intentions whatsoever of bringing home these two cute little puppies, but Marcus did give me the ok to go for it. Don't quite know what got into me, but I just could not resist. So now we have 4 white German Shepard's. The Vet will know for sure now that we are crazy.
I ended the day by watching my nephew play one heck of a basketball game. That's him #15. I'm a terrible aunt because this is the first one that I have been able to attend. He even managed to give me a hug in front of all his teammates. I was impressed to say the least.

Men and their toys...and animals

Hubby's new toy. He has been begging me to get on it for a week now, so I decided that I would try it out. I had been telling him all week long that if I did not learn how to operate it, then I would not ever have to mow the grass again. He assures me that he is not letting me mow the grass because he likes it that much. So I got on it and I just plain don't like it. Way too complicated for me.

It'a a beautiful day today in Mississippi. The dogs have been enjoying the sunshine all afternoon.

What a life...

Seems like all the dogs want to do is play with the ball. They are waiting on Marcus to get home from playing golf so he can play with them. Henry knows that when it starts getting dark, it is time for DH to come home. The cats just want to sleep all day long until it is time for me to go to bed, then they are ready to play.

OUR CRAZY CRITTERS

First time I have been to the pond with the doggies in four months. Lizzie goes crazy barking at Henry when he is waiting on DH to throw the ball in the water. Strange and not sure why she sees fit to kind of go nuts, but she does. Lizzie is not crazy about the water just yet.

Then we fed the fish in the goldfish pond.

The weather has been great today in the South. Had the air conditioning off and the windows all up, and that cool breeze was very calming.

Lots of cooking outside today:

Ham, sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, mushrooms, onions, carrotts were all cooked in crab boil...

SHE'S GROWING TOO FAST

She is growing like a weed. She returns to the Vet next week and he is going to be very impressed compared to the last time he saw her. I say he is going to tell DH that he is feeding her way too much, but DH says he is not feeding her enough. DH just wants here to be as big as Henry I think.

She barks at the cats, but the cats don't pay her any attention. She is a very hyper puppy. She never sits still, nor can you hold her.

Seems as though she is going to be just as smart a dog a Henry.
