OUR SICK SICK SICK, COMING HOME SOON SOLDIER.

GET WELL SOON

He has been so sick for several days now. He has been to the sick call twice, and still not any better, but somehow still manages to pull his duty. What a soldier. Sure wish there was something I could do to make him feel better. He says that it has been going around.

We are getting a little excited, but not too much, just in case he does not get to leave on the date that he has been given. The COUNTDOWN is growing near, and I know that he is so excited about those BOOTS TOUCHING DOWN ON US SOIL FOR GOOD...

This sure has been a long 16 months. I thought the end would never get here, but it is just about over with. What a glorious day that will be.

I had someone ask me this week what it has been like since he left for Iraq in January. As I tried to explain in the shortest version that I could possibly give, I found myself actually smiling and laughing when I talked about these last 11 months. The next question was "What do you want to do when he gets home for good?" I want to sleep for just one whole night without waking up. I think I actually forgot what that feels like, but I am ready to experience it again.
SENDING GET WELL WISHES YOUR WAY MICHAEL. HOPE YOU GET TO FEELING BETTER.

ALMOST THROUGH COUNTING...

Get well, Michael! Drink lots of hot tea... and lot of liquids (double the usual)... it will help the meds work AND flush the crud from your bod!

Stay safe. Counting the days with your Mom!

That krud just grabs even the toughest of 'em.

Get well vibes for Michael and fast countdown for you, Stacy!!

The one thing I remember after DH came home was the sheer exhaustion! I could sleep for HOURS on end and go back for more without blinking an eye. :)
