ALMOST ALL OVER WITH

Looks as though it is almost all over with, except the rain.  It has rained all night long.  Our lights only flickered yesterday afternoon. Just a few limbs are scattered throughout the yard.

The county just south of us was hit with a good bit of winds.  Not sure how much damage just yet.
Now we have to keep an eye on the other three storms.

Our Gulf Coast got a good bit of wind and water damage, but for the most part seems as though we were spared.

Greta and the kids are still here and will see today what the Louisiana and Mississippi Departments of Transportation say about the Interstate before they head back home.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
COPIAH COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF HAZLEHURST...
HINDS COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...
LINCOLN COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...
CLAIBORNE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI...
JEFFERSON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI...
WARREN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF VICKSBURG...

* UNTIL 915 AM CDT

AT 520 AM CDT A BAND OF SHOWERS FROM TROPICAL DEPRESSION GUSTAV WILL CONTINUE TO MERGE WITH ANOTHER LINE OF SHOWERS OVER THE WARNED AREA. THIS AREA HAS ALREADY SEEN ANYWHERE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN. ADDITIONAL RAIN COULD CAUSE LOW LYING AREAS...STREAMS AND AREAS WITH POOR RAINAGE TO START TO PILE UP THE WATER SLOWLY LEADING TO SOME FLOODING ISSUES. THE AREA OF GREATEST CONCERN WILL BE IN WESTERN COPIAH AND NORTHWESTERN LINCOLN WHERE GREATER THAN 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN AND THESE TWO BANDS OF SHOWERS WILL CONVERGE.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER, ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA.
