WAY TOO MANY BIRTHDAY'S IN AUGUST.

We have lots of birthdays in August, so we usually try to have a party as close to my Dad's birthday as we can. This is always a very special party for us, but this year was just a little more special, since my Dad turned 70 years young. He is absolutely the most wonderful father in the world. He is the best.

There is absolutely nothing in the world that makes my parents happier, than to have their four kids and their families gather for a celebration. What a wonderful day today was. Michael was the only one not able to be there, as he had drill this weekend.

Happy Birthday to Makayla (my great niece), Mitzi (my sister), Amanda (my niece), Wade (my nephew) and THE BEST DAD IN THE WORLD...

AND NOW FOR A PEAK AT OUR NEW BABIES...

Somehow or another we have managed to come home with two additions to our family. Two Siamese (full blooded) kittens. No names as of yet, we will have to figure those out after a few days.

We really did not need any more animals, but we were pulling out of the Wal-mart parking lot this morning from picking up the birthday cake, and I was driving, and I spotted the truck with a sign on it, and I told Marcus that we just had to stop and look at them. I immediately called to ask y parents if anyone wanted them, and Marcus said that he wanted the male. Well that was all I needed to hear from him. It is very rare to see Siamese kittens. They are so hard to find in Mississippi. That is the only kind we had when I was growing up, so they have always been my favorite kind of cat.

The poor kittens were so tired after the party today, they slept all the way home. Actually they all three got a good nap on the way home, since I was driving.

P.S. Michael, you have to come by and meet your new siblings. You might not be able to find Creature, she went outside the minute she saw them, and she will not come back in. It will take her weeks and weeks to adjust, and then she still might not accept them.

Our Dish Network is out, and we decided to go with Direct tv, and it won't be installed until Thursday, but I think that these two new kittens will keep us plenty busy and laughing.

Cute kittens! I love Siamese cats! When I was a kid, my cousin had a beautiful one who wasn't so particular about her mates. LOL She had a mixed litter & I took the runt...a black cat. But that black cat had one Siamese kitten in EVERY litter. Loved them!

Legal citation class?? Please, girl, the very THOUGHT of that makes me want to hurl. If I don't have to open that citation manual again until September, it'll be a day too soon!!

Happy Birthday to your dad!!! But he can't possibly be the best dad in the world, 'cause mine is... :) Aren't dads just the greatest thing for us girls??

I love kittens...I raised a whole litter of them once when I found 5 of them under the porch in the country. They were only about a week old. Something must have happened to their mom, because they were just starving. So, soft-hearted me took them home and bottle fed them and mothered them until they were big enough to give away. Ever tried to feed one kitten at a time while the other 4 are crying and climbing all over you?? Let me tell ya, it's a trip!!! The trouble is, the biggest crybaby of the litter worked her way into our hearts and is still with us...almost 9 years later. So, yeah, I love kittens and love to watch their antics.
