SOLDIERS FUNERAL, RAIN, SNOW, SLEET AND WRECKS

Yes, all five today. Our day started out at 0430 this morning and we headed to the Mississippi Coast with the MS Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral of Major Michael Green who was killed in Iraq.

It rained, snowed and sleeted all the way to the coast. Had a bad feeling all morning long about the day. We arrived at the funeral home at 0930 this morning and at 1000 we headed out to escort the body to the Church where the service was to be held.

Three of the vehicles never made it to the church because we had a 3 car pile up on the Pascagoula bridge. I was in the passenger seat of the middle vehicle.

We spent part of the day in the local emergency room, but I will swear it was a veterinarian hospital/clinic. I was the only one that they made go to the hospital because of the huge goose egg on my head. The Doc or Vet as I remember it (LOL...) says that I have a concussion and will be very soar for a while.

I feel like a huge 18-wheeler ran over me now and who knows what my face will look like in the morning.

This is the truck that hit us. No picture of the truck that we hit because they went on to the funeral.

This is the front of the vehicle that I was riding in. Not sure if my head hit the windshield or the "oh shit" bar that you grab on too.

This is the back of the vehicle that I was in. They say that it will probably be totaled out.

This is an up close of my side of the vehicle. When the airbag come out and was deflating some kind of chemical also was through out the vehicle and I inhaled it and I can still taste it.

Home at last. Hubby laughed when he came to pick me and my car up in town. Says that he needs to make the other eye match the right one.

I am sure that in the morning I will scare everyone when it is all black and blue and still swollen.

OH MY!
Hope you are feeling better -
you should have been so lucky as to get a vet - I know my animals get better care than I do.

I hate when school won't let me on the internet and/or keeps me too busy to read the blogs I love.

How are you feeling now??

You poor thing!

I'll be thinking of you. {{Hugs}}

I know I left you a comment on this and Gremlons must have ate it. I think a large bubble over your house and bare minerals for covering the bruises are in your future. Maybe the pups will lick the bruises clean:)
