THIS IS FOR THE BIRDS...

The anesthesia has worn off and the oxycotton is making me crazy I think.

This crap is for the birds. I am not use to having to have someone to depend on. The MRI only showed one tear, but when he got in there there were 3 tendons that had to be repaired. Six weeks in a hard cast and then six weeks in a boot cast. This is not how I wanted to spend my summer. THIS SUCKS...

(Everybody is asking how, well I fell down last November 7, 2006, and did not think that I had done this much damage to it, but after walking for 4 days in DC on it I realized I had to get something done.)

Been there, done that! Didn't listen about my ankle, went through "several" casts. Managed to not have surgery, but can trip and it twists over a cat hair, lol. The knee, well, I learned my lesson, followed orders and still had surgery. Thank God for orthoscopic [sp?]surgery. My knee was torn by bending the "wrong way." Yup, you read it right. I didn't know it could be done either. A year of therapy failed to improve it so, had the surgery. Took almost a year afterwards to completely feel right; but, I didn't wear the cast the whole time. I had several soft ones.

So why am I boring you with all this crud? Listen to your doctor!! Twelve weeks is much better than almost two years or a bum ankle!

I have finally learned how to do nothing at times and actually enjoy it, lol.

Get a wireless keyboard and mouse if you can, and let those fingers do some walking across that keyboard, lol. Keeps the "mind" sharp!! He! He!

Oh, for heaven's sakes!!! I can't leave you alone for a second & you're off having surgery without me knowing!!! I miss a few days around here & all heck breaks loose!

I hope you are taking care of yourself and doing what the doctor says. You need to REST.
